Financial leasing
Own your solar plant without draining your capital
Fixed monthly payments covered by your own energy savings, the asset's tax deduction, and a purchase option at the end of the term.
The challenge
You want to own the asset, not a liquidity problem
Buying a solar plant outright punishes your cash flow: paying the full CAPEX reduces working capital, and traditional bank credit consumes lines you need to operate.
On top of that, without a well-designed tax structure, a good part of the project's return gets diluted along the way.
Financial leasing turns that investment into predictable monthly payments that the savings themselves keep covering, while preserving the asset's tax deduction and the option to keep it at the end of the term.
How it works
How your lease with HUME Energy works
We structure the financing, build the system, and stay with you until the asset is yours.
Assessment
We size the system to your consumption and evaluate the optimal tax structure.
Structure
We define the term, monthly payment, and residual value to fit your needs.
Installation
We build and interconnect your system with first-class engineering.
Fixed payments
You pay a fixed, deductible monthly lease, largely covered by your savings.
Ownership
At the end of the term you exercise the purchase option at the agreed residual value and the asset joins your balance sheet, generating savings for decades.
Benefits
The benefits of leasing with HUME Energy
Preserve your liquidity
No heavy capital outlay: your cash flow stays available for the business.
100 % deduction in the first fiscal year
Renewable generation equipment is 100 % deductible in the year it is acquired (Mexican Income Tax Law art. 34, sec. XIII), provided it operates for at least five years. With financial leasing you keep that deduction on the contract value and also deduct the financing cost.
Payments that pay for themselves
Energy savings cover a substantial part, or all, of the monthly lease.
The asset is yours
At the end of the term you exercise the purchase option at the agreed residual value; the plant sits on your balance sheet and keeps creating value.
Fixed payments, zero surprises
A monthly lease known from day one, immune to tariff volatility.
End-to-end support
Engineering, construction, and optional O&M from the same team that structured your financing.
Tax treatment depends on each taxpayer's situation. Review it with your tax advisor.
Regulatory framework
Permitting and regulation: we handle it
Under Mexico's Electricity Sector Law in force since 2025, systems below 0.7 MW operate as distributed generation and require no generation permit. Between 0.7 and 20 MW, the interconnected self-supply modality applies, with a simplified filing before the National Energy Commission (CNE). HUME Energy sizes your system considering the most efficient regulatory route and manages the interconnection with CFE and, where applicable, the CNE permit.
Comparison
PPA, leasing, or direct purchase: which is right for you?
Three routes to solar power. The best one depends on your priority: cash flow, ownership, or simplicity.

| Upfront investment | $0 | Low (optional down payment) | 100% of the system |
| Asset ownership | HUME Energy's, with purchase option | Yours upon exercising the purchase option at the end of the term | Yours from day one |
| Maintenance | Included | Optional with HUME Energy | On you |
| Tax benefit | Energy payments deductible as an operating expense | 100 % asset deduction in the first fiscal year (Mexican Income Tax Law art. 34, sec. XIII) plus deduction of the financing cost | 100 % asset deduction in the first fiscal year (Mexican Income Tax Law art. 34, sec. XIII) |

Frequently asked questions
Leasing frequently asked questions
With a PPA you pay for generated energy and HUME Energy owns the asset; with leasing you pay a fixed lease for the system and end up owning it. If you want ownership and tax benefits, leasing is usually the better route.
